Job Description

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation and patient diagnosis.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout all ultrasound procedures.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Accurately document examination results and communicate findings to interpreting physicians in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients on examination procedures, addressing questions and concerns to ensure a positive experience.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and training to stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS, ARRT Sonography, or equivalent credential).
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, imaging protocols, anatomy, and diagnostic techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret clinical information accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and patient-centered service.
