Job Description

Receive contaminated surgical instruments and equipment

Sort instruments according to department procedures

Disassemble multi-part instruments

Clean instruments manually and mechanically

Operate ultrasonic cleaners

Load and operate washer-disinfectors

Remove blood, tissue, and biological debris

Follow infection prevention protocols

Handle biohazardous materials safely

Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments for operating rooms.
