Provide direct supervision and support to residents throughout assigned shifts, including during group activities, meals, recreation, and downtime
Conduct routine observation rounds at scheduled intervals and accurately document findings in the electronic medical record system (Kipu)
Assist residents with medication self-administration in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and documentation standards
Respond to behavioral and emotional crises using approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment, including light housekeeping and supply stocking as needed
Complete shift notes, communication logs, and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate professionally and effectively with families, clinical staff, on-call administrators, and incoming team members during shift transitions
Demonstrate professionalism, healthy coping strategies, and respectful communication in all interactions
Uphold resident confidentiality and maintain full HIPAA compliance at all times
Perform overnight duties when assigned, including room checks, temperature monitoring, meal preparation setup for the following day, and end-of-shift reporting
Skills & Requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Current and valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Current TB test documentation
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check
