Job Description

Medication Technician Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician (Full-Time, Part-Time, and On-Call opportunities available) to support residents with daily living services and medication management while ensuring high standards of care and resident safety.

  • Lead and assist the Medication Technician team in providing care aligned with individualized resident care plans
  • Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders and Medication Administration Records (MAR)
  • Review and verify daily documentation to ensure completion of resident care responsibilities and compliance standards
  • Maintain effective communication with staff regarding resident needs to promote consistent, high-quality care and service delivery
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, residents, and family members to support continuity of care
  • Assist with dining services, including meal preparation support, serving, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
  • Provide shift supervision, guidance, and support to team members while encouraging professional growth and accountability
  • Maintain all required certifications, continuing education, in-service training, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen standards
  • Promote safe working conditions and reinforce workplace safety procedures among team members
  • Assist with workplace injury reporting, investigations, and return-to-work coordination when necessary
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment through professionalism, initiative, and respectful interactions with residents, coworkers, and visitors
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
